ā€œConvocation is a time of celebration as we honour the outstanding accomplishments of every graduate,ā€ says college president Dr. Lane Trotter. ā€œItā€™s important to acknowledge the faculty and support staff who supported graduates through to the finish line as well as the friends, family and champions of each student. Congratulations!ā€

The theme for convocation 2024 is You Always Belong Here, a reminder for grads that there is a place for them at 51³Ō¹Ļapp beyond the conclusion of their courses and programs.

ā€œCamosun convocation is an incredible day of celebration, achievement and excitement,ā€ says Prince Solanki, 51³Ō¹Ļapp Student Society external executive. ā€œAs we celebrate our achievements, we also recognize the responsibility that comes with our education. It's our duty to make a positive impact in the world, whether through further education, joining the workforce or contributing to our communities.ā€

Four ceremonies will take place over two days in the PISE gym located on the Interurban campus and include the presentation of six awards.
