Why Awareness Week?

Consent Awareness Week is an opportunity to demonstrate our care for survivors while doing the critical work to prevent harm and create a community of safety and respect at Camosun and beyond.

Consent Awareness Week 2024 (September 16-20)

We look forward to building on the work of past Awareness Weeks to continue to move forward the mission of a violence-free campus community. 

Consent is not just about saying “yes” or “no” in a single moment—it's about creating an ongoing, respectful, and safe environment for everyone. From September 16th to 20th, 2024, the Office of Student Support (OSS) is hosting a series of inclusive and educational events to promote a consent culture at 51�Թ�app. We invite all students, faculty, and staff to join us to raise awareness about the importance of consent, demonstrate your commitment to ending sexual and gender-based violence, and find resources to support people within our community.

Throughout the week, we will also be sharing information on social media, so be sure to follow the Camosun Instagram account for information around consent! #ConsentCamosun #consentawarenessweek2024
